Flexi (PP) RIP Operation Guide
With Clear Steps and Figure Captions
1. Pre-RIP Preparation
Before starting the RIP operation, please make sure you have completed the following important steps:
1.1 Software Installation and Activation
Your Flexi (PP) software must be properly installed, registered, and activated.
If this has not been completed yet, please refer to:

1.2 Initial Preference Settings
You should have finished the basic software preference settings according to the “Flexi (PP) Initial Preference Setup Guide”.
1.3 Load ICC Profiles
You should have already loaded the ICC profile that matches your printer and printing material, based on the “Flexi (PP) ICC Import Guide”.
This step is critical to ensure accurate print color performance!
1.4 Prepare the Image Files for Printing
Please make sure the image file you want to RIP (such as JPG, TIFF, PDF, etc.) is saved on your computer and is easy to locate.
2.2 Add a Print Job
In the Flexi software top menu, click the Job▼ icon, then select “Add Job” from the dropdown menu.

2.3 Import Image File
A dialog box will pop up. Click the “Add” button to open the folder on your computer and select the image file you want to print.

2.4 Open the Job Properties Window
Double-click the imported image (indicated with a red arrow) to open the “Job Properties” window, where you can configure detailed print settings.

2.5 Adjust Media and Job Settings
Inside the “Job Properties” window, you will see several setting areas (highlighted by a red box).
Please adjust the following settings based on your actual printing needs:
- Media Type Setting: Choose the media type that matches your real printing material. This affects the print quality.

- Job Size Setting: Adjust the final output size of your image. You can enter the exact width and height, or select a preset size.

Scale jobs to make them as large as possible while still fitting into the printable area of the output media

- Job Position Setting: Adjust where you specify jobs to be output on the media.

- Copies Setting: If you need to print multiple copies, you can set the copy quantity and layout here.

2.6 Set Image Position and Orientation
Continue to configure the following settings in the “Job Properties” window:
Right
Centre
Media Centre
Left
- Red Box Area: Rotate or mirror the image to meet special printing needs.

- GreenBox Area: Adjusting the horizontal and vertical spacing of images on media (Recommended values are greater than 0.5 inches).

2.7 View Layout Preview
After completing the settings, click the “Layout preview” option above the image (indicated with a red arrow).
This will show how the image is arranged on the actual print media. Please check carefully to make sure the position, size, and direction are correct.

2.8 Close the Job Properties Window
After confirming all settings are correct, click the “OK” button to close the “Job Properties” window.

2.9 Start the RIP Process
Return to the Flexi main interface, find the print job you just set up.
Right-click the job and select “RIP” (red arrow shown).
At this point, the status bar at the bottom of the software will show “Riping”, which means the software is converting your image into machine-readable printing commands. Please wait patiently.

2.10 RIP Process Completed
When the status bar shows “Riping done” (as indicated with a red arrow), it means the RIP process has been successfully completed.

2.11 Save the RIP File
Right-click the completed print job, then click “Save As” to save the RIP file for later printing.

2.12 Select Save Path and Name the File
A dialog box will appear. At the top, choose the save location (e.g., Desktop).
Set the file type to .prt, rename the file, and click “Save”.

2.13 Check the Save Progress
At the bottom of the Print Center interface, check the progress bar. When it shows “Saving 100%”, the file has been saved successfully.

2.14 Confirm File Location
Go to the save location you selected (such as the desktop), and make sure the .prt file with your chosen file name is there.

- Before running full print jobs, we strongly recommend printing a small sample first to check color accuracy, alignment, and overall print quality.
- This helps avoid material waste and reduces unnecessary time costs.
