Flexi (PP) Initial Preference Setup Guide
Preparation Before Initial Setup:
Before setting preferences, make sure Flexi (PP) software is properly installed and running. Once installation is complete, you can proceed with the initial configuration.
1.Add Setup Dialog – Initial Configuration
When you open Flexi (PP) software for the first time, an “Add Setup” dialog box will appear. This is used to configure your printer connection.
1.1 Launch FlexiPRINT LINKO Edition
Double-click the FlexiPRINT LINKO Edition icon on your desktop.

1.2 Choose Printer Mainboard Model (Provided by LINKO staff before installation)
After the software is started, in the pop-up “Add Setup dialog box:
- Select the correct model based on your printer’s mainboard type.
- For example, if your printer uses a Hoson mainboard, please choose the “LINKO-HS-EP” option.
After selection is complete, click “Next “.(The Hoson mainboard is used here as an example.)
1.3 Choose Connection Format and Complete Setup
In the Add Setup dialog box:
- Select FILE as the connection type (see red arrow in Figure 1.3). This means the software will generate a print file which you will manually send to the printer.
- Check the option “Prompt for file path for each file”. This will make the software ask you where to save each file, helping with file organization.
After setup is complete, click Finish.

2.2 Units and Precision Settings
2.2.1 Set Measurement Units
In the Preferences window, locate the unit settings.
The default unit is Inches (red arrow in Figure 2.2).
You may change it to centimeters or another unit based on your work habits.

2.2.2 Set Precision
The default precision is 0.000 (red arrow in Figure 2.3), which means three decimal places.
In most cases, this default setting is sufficient for printing needs.

2.3 RIP File Path and Format Settings
2.3.1 Set RIP File Save Path
Click the Browse… button (red arrow in Figure 2.4) to select the folder where you want RIP files to be saved.
You can also keep the default path if no specific folder is required.

2.3.2 Set RIP File Format
Keep the default option as Native job (red arrow in Figure 2.5), which is Flexi’s original format.
In most cases, this setting does not need to be changed.

2.4 Basic RIP Settings
2.4.1 Set RIP Band Height
The default value is Auto (red arrow in Figure 2.6), which means the software will adjust data processing automatically based on your system’s performance.
It is recommended to keep this default setting.

2.4.2 Set Preview Resolution and Overprint Preview
The default preview resolution is Medium, which can be changed depending on your computer performance.
Please check Preview overprint to see overprint effects during preview, ensuring accurate output.

2.4.3 Set RIP Threads and Priority
Default RIP thread count is 3 (red box in Figure 2.8), meaning up to 3 jobs can be processed simultaneously.
Priority is set to Normal (red arrow in Figure 2.8).
We recommend checking Compress RIP result to reduce file size and save disk space.
