1. Software Overview and Function Introduction

1.1 What is Flexi (PP) Software?

Flexi (PP) is a RIP (Raster Image Processor) software that provides a complete solution covering design and printing.

1.2 Why Do You Need RIP Software? Flexi (PP) is One of Them

During the printing process, design files such as JPG, PNG, AI, or PDF cannot be directly recognized and used by printers. This is where RIP software plays the role of a “translator.”

The main function of RIP software is to convert design files from your computer into a format that the printer can understand and execute. Flexi (PP) is one of the most commonly used RIP software brands.

When using Flexi (PP), the imported design is converted into a special print file format (such as .PRT). It is not meant to be viewed by users but to be interpreted by the printer.

Especially for white ink or spot color printing scenarios (such as DTF or UV printing), RIP files can also include additional layers like white ink, varnish, and spot colors to support more complex workflows and deliver high-quality print results.
