PrintFactory Software Installation & License Activation Guide

This guide shows how to install and activate PrintFactory software on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

1. Preparation Before Installation

1.1 Network Requirements

  • The computer must be connected to the Internet.
  • Please keep the network stable during installation and activation.

1.2 System Requirements

  • Supported systems: Windows 11 / Windows 10
  • Windows 7 or earlier versions are not recommended.

1.3 Browser Requirements

Please use one of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge

1.4 Important Checklist (Required)

Before starting the installation, please confirm that all items below are completed:

✔ Internet connection is available
✔ System version meets the requirements
✔ Firewall and antivirus software are temporarily disabled

(If not disabled, please refer to “Firewall and Antivirus Disable Guide” before continuing.)

1.5 Software Version Notice

⚠️ Important

  • After installation, always continue using the currently installed software version.
  • Do NOT update or change the software version on your own.
  • Doing so may cause version incompatibility, functional issues, or license activation problems.

2. Download and Install PrintFactory Software

2.1 Open the Browser

Double-click the browser icon on the desktop (such as Google Chrome) to open the browser (See Figure 2.1).

2.2 Log in to Your PrintFactory Account

Enter the following address in the browser address bar and press Enter:
https://app.printfactory.cloud/account/login

On the login page:

  • Select “Global” in the “Region” field
  • Enter your PrintFactory account and password
  • Click “Login”

Note:

If “Global” is not selected, login may fail (See Figure 2.2).

2.3 Download the PrintFactory Installer

After logging in, go to the download page:

  • Click “Download”
  • Start downloading the PrintFactory installer (See Figure 2.3)

2.4 Open the Downloads Folder

After the download is complete, open the Downloads folder on your computer (See Figure 2.4).

2.5 Launch the Installer

  • Locate the installer file, for example:
    “PF6.8.6.12175.exe” (version number may vary)

Please note and record the installer version for future reference.

  • Double-click the file to start the installation (See Figure 2.5)

2.6 Wait for Installation to Complete

The PrintFactory installation will begin. This process may take a few minutes.
Please wait until the progress bar is completed (See Figure 2.6-1).

Notes:

  • During installation, system warning or error messages may appear.
  • These messages do not affect the normal installation or use of PrintFactory.
    Please click “Ignore” to continue (See Figure 2.6-2).

3. Proxy Setup and License Activation

3.1 Open Proxy Settings

After installation, the “Software Manager” window will appear automatically.
In this window: Click “Settings” (See Figure 3.1)

3.2 Set the Fixed Proxy IP

In the IP settings window, enter the following fixed IP address:

“127.0.0.1” (See Figure 3.2)

Explanation:

  • This is the default local communication address.
  • All users must use this address.
  • No modification or technical understanding is required.

After entering the IP address, save the settings.

3.3 Enter the License Activation Interface

After the IP settings are saved, the “License Activation” window will appear automatically.

In this window:

  • Select “Global” in the “Region” field
  • Click “Login” (See Figure 3.3)

3.4 Log In and Complete License Activation

On the login screen:

  • Enter your PrintFactory account and password
  • Click “Sign in” (See Figure 3.4)

After a successful login, the system will automatically complete the license activation.

3.5 Confirm Proxy Installation

If activation is successful:

  • A message “The proxy was successfully installed” will appear
  • Click “Finish” to complete the process (See Figure 3.5)

3.6 Activation Status Check (Final Verification)

Please confirm the following status:

  • A green checkmark is displayed between “Proxy” and “Cloud” (See Figure 3.6)
    PrintFactory has been successfully installed and is ready for use.

4. Common Causes of Activation Failure

If PrintFactory activation fails, it is usually caused by one of the following reasons.
Please check the items below in order.

① Firewall or Antivirus Software Not Disabled

Firewall or antivirus software may block the PrintFactory background proxy service, causing activation to fail.
Please confirm that all security software is temporarily disabled, then try again. (Firewall and Antivirus Disable Guide)

② “Global” Region Not Selected

If “Global” is not selected during login or license activation, activation may fail.
Please confirm the Region setting and log in again (See Figure 3.3).

③ Account Status Issues

Activation may fail in the following situations:

  • The account is already bound to another computer
  • The computer was replaced or the system was reinstalled without unbinding the previous device

If account unbinding is required, please refer to “PrintFactory Account Unbinding Guide.”
If activation still fails after all checks, please contact LINKO Technical Support.

5. Completion Notice

PrintFactory installation and activation are complete.
You can now use the software.
