Ink Pump Replacement
This guide is a supplement to the video tutorial. It helps you understand the function, working principle, and printhead connection of the ink pump.
1. Ink Pump Function Description
| No. | Pump Name | Function Description |
|---|---|---|
| ①②③④⑩ | Ink Pump | Moisturizing Function: Maintains the capping station moisture. |
| ⑤⑥⑦⑧⑨ | Ink Pump | Ink Suction Function: Used for printhead cleaning, ink suction, and waste ink discharge. |
2. Working Principle of the Ink Pump
This section explains how the ink pump works during cleaning or ink suction.
Example: Ink Suction Function
When the ink pump rotates clockwise:
- The hose with a one-way valve is the inlet hose. It creates negative pressure at the cap station and draws residual ink from the printhead.
- The hose without a one-way valve is the outlet hose. It discharges the waste ink into the waste ink tank.
3. Ink Pump and Printhead Connection
Please refer to the following video to learn the exact connection between each ink pump and its corresponding printhead.
The video shows the following steps:
- Remove the outer cover.
- Raise the capping station.
- Pull the hose with a one-way valve to confirm the connection between each pump and printhead.
The diagram below shows the standard layout used in some machine versions (for example, Model K-605B).
It is for reference only.
