Printhead Angle Calibration
Video Supplement
1. Print and Check the Test Pattern
Follow the steps in the attached video to print the printhead angle calibration test pattern.
After printing, carefully check the lines on the test pattern to see if the printhead is vertical.
✅ Normal: The lines are straight and vertical. The left and right edges are aligned. The printhead angle is correct. No adjustment is needed.
❌ Abnormal: The lines shift to one side or look tilted. This means the printhead angle is not correct and needs adjustment.
2. Adjust the Printhead Angle
Use the shift direction on the test pattern to judge if the printhead leans to the left or to the right.
Then make small adjustments to the adjustment screws.
Refer to the video while doing this.
2.1 Test Lines Shift to the Left
(Printhead’s left side is lower, the right side is higher) (See Figure 2.1)
Adjustment guide (refer to the video):
- Turn the left adjustment screw clockwise to raise the left side.
- Turn the right adjustment screw counterclockwise to lower the right side.
2.2 Test Lines Shift to the Right
(Printhead right side is lower, left side is higher) (See Figure 2.2)
Adjustment guide (refer to the video):
- Turn the left adjustment screw counterclockwise to lower the left side.
- Turn the right adjustment screw clockwise to raise the right side.
3. Repeat and Confirm
Repeat the cycle adjust → print → check until all lines are fully vertical and aligned on both sides.
When the lines are straight and aligned, the printhead angle calibration is complete.
