Waveform Loading Guide

Applicable Models: LINKO Printers (Hoson Mainboard Models)

1. Preparation Before Loading

1.1 Back Up Firmware Parameters

Before loading the waveform, please back up the current firmware parameters.
This backup allows system recovery if any unexpected issues occur.

Refer to 【2.1.2 Export & Import Firmware Parameters】 export the parameters, and store the backup file safely.

1.2 Prepare the Waveform File

Please contact LINKO technical support to obtain the correct waveform file that matches your printer model and ink type.

File name rules:

The firmware file name can use only English letters（A–Z, a–z）, numbers（0–9）, Space()，hyphens (-), or underscores (_).
Do not use Chinese characters or any other special symbols. Otherwise, the import may fail.

Important Note: Waveform files cannot be exported from the printer software.
Please keep all waveform files properly stored.

2. Waveform Loading Steps

2.1 Start the Printer Control Software

Double-click the PrintExp icon on the desktop to launch the software. (See Figure 2.1-1)

2.2 Enter Factory Mode

Click the “Advance” menu(See Figure 2.2-1)
Press Ctrl + F12 on the keyboard to switch to Factory Mode.(See Figure 2.2-2)
Enter the password: 222222, then click“Factory mode”. (See Figure 2.2-3)

2.3 Import wave file

In Factory Mode, click “Firmware”.
Select “Import wave file”.(See Figure 2.3)

2.4 Select and Load the Waveform File

In the Open dialog:

Select the correct waveform file
Click Open (See Figure 2.4-1)

A confirmation message, “Write the waveform successfully!” will appear.
Click OK to continue. (See Figure 2.4-2)

2.5 View the Imported Waveform

After the import is completed, in the “Factory mode” interface, click “Waveform setting” at the bottom to view the currently imported waveform information.

3. Completion Instructions

All waveform files have been loaded successfully.
Please restart the PrintExp to apply the new parameters.
The waveform loading process is complete.
