2. 24V Power Supply Wiring Diagram
| Category | No. | Terminal | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| AC Input (external AC power → 24V Power Supply) |
① | Live (L) | AC power input |
| ② | Neutral (N) | AC return path | |
| ③ | Ground (G) | Antistatic and safety protection | |
| DC Output (24V Power Supply → pump / motor) |
④ | 24 V negative | Output to the white ink circulation pump and the stirring motor (–) |
| ⑤ | 24 V positive | Output to the white ink circulation pump and the stirring motor (+) |
In this guide, ①–⑤ always refer to the numbers in Fig. 2.
3. Fault Inspection Procedure (Check AC First, Then DC)
⚠ Important: If the external AC input (①②) has no power, the DC output of the 24V Power Supply (④⑤) reads 0 V. This reading is normal. This reading does not mean that the 24V Power Supply has failed. Always check the AC input first. Check the DC output after that.
3.1 Safety Instructions
- Measure the voltages with the printer powered on.
- Disconnect all power before you replace the 24V Power Supply.
- Wait 1 minute after you unplug the power cord. Then start to disconnect the cables.
- Wear insulated gloves. Do not touch exposed circuits with your hands.
3.2 AC Input Check (①–②)
Multimeter mode: ACV 600 V. On an auto-ranging multimeter, select ACV.
Measurement method:
- Red probe → ① live
- Black probe → ② neutral
Normal value: AC 200–240 V
The 24V Power Supply receives AC power. Go to 3.3 and check the DC output.
Abnormal value: 0 V, or the reading is unstable
This is not a 24V Power Supply fault. Check the following items in the given order:
- No power at the wall socket
- PROTECTION SWITCH tripped
- MAIN POWER switch not turned on
- Top power switch not turned on
- Loose AC cable
- Loose or oxidized terminals
- Broken AC cable
3.3 DC Output Check of the 24V Power Supply (④–⑤)
Multimeter mode: DCV 200 V. On an auto-ranging multimeter, select DCV.
Measurement method:
- Black probe → ④ 24 V negative
- Red probe → ⑤ 24 V positive
3.3.1 DC Output Evaluation and Actions
| Measurement Result | Pump / Motor | Status | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| 23 – 25 V | Runs normally | The 24V Power Supply and the power supply path are normal. | The fault is not in the 24 V power supply path. The task in this guide is complete. (See Fig. 3.3-2) |
| 23 – 25 V | Does not work | The 24V Power Supply is normal. The fault is in the downstream circuit. | Go to 3.3.2. (See Fig. 3.3-2) |
| The AC input is normal, and the reading is 0 V or below 23 V | Does not work | The 24V Power Supply has an internal fault. | Replace the 24V Power Supply. Go to Section 4. (See Fig. 3.3-3) |
3.3.2 Input Voltage Check at the White Ink Circulation Pump / White Ink Stirring Motor
Multimeter mode: DCV 200 V. On an auto-ranging multimeter, select DCV.
Measurement method:
- Black probe → negative input terminal of the pump or the stirring motor
- Red probe → positive input terminal of the pump or the stirring motor
| Input Voltage | Status | Action |
|---|---|---|
| 0.0 V | The power does not reach the pump or the stirring motor. The cable is broken, or the contact is oxidized. | Check the cable. Replace the cable. |
| 23 – 25 V, and the pump or the stirring motor does not work | The pump or the stirring motor is faulty. | Replace the pump or the stirring motor. |
Do not replace the 24V Power Supply if the fault is in the cable, or in the pump, or in the stirring motor. The task in this guide is complete.
