Why Is Only One Side of My Print Misaligned? (Partial Alignment – White/Color Misalignment)

Full Process (2 Main Tasks):

4.1 Check Film Edge Alignment

4.2 Adjust Film Position

Detailed Steps

4.1 Check if the Film is Installed at an Angle

Purpose: Confirm that the DTF film is installed parallel to the printing direction.

Steps:

  • Observe the scale lines at the front and rear of the printing platform.
  • Compare the scale values — if they are not the same, the film is tilted. A tilted film will cause partial misalignment during printing, so the installation angle must be adjusted before proceeding.
  • Measure the Distance Between the Film Edge and Platform Edge
  • Compare the Distance values— if they are not the same, the film is tilted. A tilted film will cause partial misalignment during printing, so the installation angle must be adjusted before proceeding.

When the front and rear scale values are inconsistent, it indicates that the film installation angle has deviated.

4.2 Adjust the film installation angle

4.2.1 Lift the pinch roller

Click the “Lift” button to lift the pinch roller, move and adjust the position of the film.

4.2.2 Adjust the film position to align the front and rear edges at the same scale value

With the pinch roller lifted, gently pull the middle of the film downward by about 1–2 cm to adjust its position. Then, check whether the front and rear scale values are aligned. If they are not the same, continue adjusting until both values are exactly equal.

Rear Scale Alignment

4.2.2-3-The rear-end scale value is 6.2

When the front and rear scale lines are aligned, the film is correctly positioned and parallel to the printing direction.

4.2.3 Put down the pinch roller

Click the “Down” button to lower the pinch roller so it presses down the film, ensuring it remains in position during printing.

4.3 Measure the Distance Between the Film Edge and Platform Edge

Using a ruler, measure the distance between the edge of the film and the edge of the platform at three points (e.g., using the outermost 3 dots on the film as reference).
If the distances are not equal, adjust the film until they are.

4.2.44.2.44.5 Perform a Test Print

Print a test pattern to confirm that the image is fully aligned and free of white/color offset. If everything is aligned correctly, the adjustment is complete. Otherwise, repeat the above steps until the issue is resolved.

Final Note:
After completing all calibration steps, we recommend running several test prints using different designs to ensure consistent output.
It’s also a good idea to export and save your final calibration settings for future reference.

Solution and Operating Steps:

Step 1: Check if the Film is Installed at an Angle
Inspect the film on the print platform. If it’s not parallel to the platform edge, it can cause partial misalignment during printing.

Step 3: Measure the Distance Between the Film Edge and Platform Edge

If the distances are not equal, adjust the film until they are.

Step 4: Re-fix the Clamps
After confirming the film is parallel to the platform edge, re-tighten the left and right clamps to secure the film in place.

Step 5: Perform a Test Print
Print a test pattern to check if the image is now fully aligned without any white/color offset.

If aligned correctly, the calibration is complete.

If misalignment remains, repeat the steps above.
