For example, the calibration line in the first row is labeled G1 (K)G1,1(C, M, Y, K, G, R, B, O), the second row is labeled G1 (C)G2, 1(W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, W6, W7, W8), and so on.
  • Then, for each row, find the group of lines from the left and right columns that are perfectly overlapping, and check the number displayed directly below that group.
    If the value is not “0”, you need to adjust that row accordingly.
  • For example, in the second row, the value below the group of lines that overlap perfectly on the left and right columns is -3″-5, indicating that this row needs adjustment.
  • If all other rows have an overlapping group with a value of “0”, then those rows do not need adjustment.

Look at the Chart, find the group of top, middle, and bottom lines that Overlaps Perfectly, and Record the number.

Step 4 Calculate and Set the Final Calibration Value
Use the following formula:
Final Value = Original Value + Overlap Value
Example: If the original value is -7.4 and the overlap value is -3, then final value:
-7.4 + (-3) = -10.4
Enter -10.4 into the system.

  • Rough Adjustment: Start with the closest whole number where the overlap looks best.
  • Fine Adjustment: If the result is still not ideal, fine-tune with decimal valuess (e.g., -10.5, -10.6, …, -10.9) until ghosting is completely eliminated.

Click “Save” to apply the new calibration value.

Step 6 Check if Calibration is Complete
If the value of the overlapping line group is “0”, calibration is complete. If not, repeat the above steps until it is.

4.1 Check if the Film is Installed at an Angle

Purpose: Confirm that the DTF film is installed parallel to the printing direction.

Steps:

  • Observe the scale lines at the front and rear of the printing platform.
  • Compare the scale values — if they are not the same, the film is tilted. A tilted film will cause partial misalignment during printing, so the installation angle must be adjusted before proceeding.
  • Measure the Distance Between the Film Edge and Platform Edge

4.2 Adjust the film installation angle

4.2.2 Adjust the film position to align the front and rear edges at the same scale value

With the pinch roller lifted, gently pull the middle of the film downward by about 1–2 cm to adjust its position. Then, check whether the front and rear scale values are aligned. If they are not the same, continue adjusting until both values are exactly equal.

4.2 Release the Paper Clamps on Both Sides

Loosen the clamps on the left and right sides of the film to allow adjustment.

4.3 Measure the Distance Between the Film Edge and Platform Edge

Using a ruler, measure the distance between the edge of the film and the edge of the platform at three points (e.g., using the outermost 3 dots on the film as reference).
If the distances are not equal, adjust the film until they are.

4.4 Re-fix the Clamps

After confirming the film is parallel to the platform edge, re-tighten the left and right clamps to secure the film in place

Print a test pattern to confirm that the image is fully aligned and free of white/color offset. If everything is aligned correctly, the adjustment is complete. Otherwise, repeat the above steps until the issue is resolved.
