This issue is typically caused by uncalibrated bi-directional printing. Use the “Bidirect Adjust” function to correct it.
Goal: Fix Horizontal Ghosting or blurred double edges in printed image so they are perfectly aligned left-to-right.
❌ Incorrect: The printed image shows ghosting or blurred double edges.
✅ Correct: The printed image is sharp, with perfect left-right alignment.
3.1 Perform Bidirect Calibration Calibration:
3.3.1 Bidirect Calibration
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Access the Adjust Page
Open the control software and click the “Calibrate” tab.
3.1.1-1-Access-the-Bidirect-Calibration-Menu
Step 2 Print the Bidirect Adjust Chart
A dialog box will appear. Click “Horizontal”, select “360 dpi, VSD Mode 3, High” under “Horizontal Motion Mode”, click “Bi-dir”, choose “Large” under “Dot mode”, and then click “Print” to start the bidirectional calibration print.
(Ensure the media is loaded and the printer is ready.)
Step 2 Print the Bidirect Adjust Chart
A dialog box will appear. Click “Horizontal”, select “360 dpi, VSD Mode 3, High” under “Horizontal Motion Mode”, click “Bi-dir Calibrate”, choose “Large dot” under “Dot mode”, and then click “Print” to start the bidirectional calibration print. (Ensure the media is loaded and the printer is ready)

Step 3 Find the number where the lines overlap best
Look at the Chart, find the group of top, middle, and bottom lines that Overlaps Perfectly, and Record the number.
3.1.1-3-Find-the-Lines-that-Overlaps-Perfectly
Step 4 Calculate and Set the Final Calibration Value
Use the following formula:
Final Value = Original Value + Overlap Value
Example: If the original value is -7.4 and the overlap value is -3, then final value:
-7.4 + (-3) = -10.4
Enter -10.4 into the system.
3.1.1-4-Adjust-the-Calibration-Value
Step 5 Save the Calibration Settings
Click “Save” to apply the new calibration value.
3.1.1-5-Save-the-Calibration-Value
Step 6 Check if Calibration is Complete
If the value of the overlapping line group is “0”, calibration is complete. If not, repeat the above steps until it is.
⚠️ If the value is still not “0” after several attempts, check mechanical settings before retrying. (See full checklist in Problem 1)

This issue is typically caused by uncalibrated bi-directional printing. Use the “Bidirect Adjust” function to correct it.
Incorrect❌
The printed image shows ghosting or blurred double edges.
Correct✅
The printed image is sharp, with perfect left-right alignment
How to Perform “Bidirect Adjust”
Check and Adjust Bi-directional Calibration Parameters
1. Access the Adjust Page
Open the control software and Click the “Adjust” section.
2. Click “Bidirect Adjust”, then click “Print Adjust” to print the bi-directional calibration chart(Ensure the media is loaded and the printer is ready)
3. Find the Number Where Black and White Lines Overlap Best
Examine the chart and identify the number where the black and white lines align most perfectly. Write it down.
4. Calculate and Enter the Final Number
Use the formula:
Final number = Original number + Overlap number
Example: If the original number is 14.5 and the overlap number is -3, then: 14.5 + (-3) = 11.5 Enter 11.5 into Bidirect Value.
5. Save the Calibration Data
Click “Save” to apply the setting.
If the overlap number is 0, calibration is complete. If not, repeat the steps above until it is.
