Wiper Height Adjustment

(Video Supplement Guide)

Applicable Model: LINKO Y-603 UV DTF Printer

1. Check Wiper Height (Head Cleaning)

Purpose: Run the head cleaning function to check if the wiper can effectively remove excess ink from the bottom of the printhead. This helps you judge whether the wiper height is correct.

1.1 Clean the Printhead

Press the “CLEANING” button on the printer control panel to start head cleaning. (See Figure 1.1)

1.2 Observe Wiper Height

Look from the bottom of the carriage and observe how the wiper touches the printhead surface.

Normal Condition:

The wiper can remove the extra ink completely.

No visible ink drops remain after wiping.

The top of the wiper should be 1.5–2 mm higher than the printhead bottom surface.

This means the wiper height is correct and no adjustment is needed.(See Figure 1.2-1)。

Abnormal 1 – Too Low:

The wiper does not touch the printhead surface.

This means the wiper height is too low and needs to be raised. (See Figure 1.2-2)

Abnormal 2 – Too High:

The wiper bends or curls when touching the printhead, or you hear a sharp scraping sound.

This means the wiper height is too high and needs to be lowered. (See Figure 1.2-3)

2. Adjust Wiper Height (Software)

2.1 Enter Adjustment Page

Refer to the attached video for detailed steps.

Open the printer control software and click the button to enter the Wiper Height Adjustment page.

2.2 Parameter Adjustment

In the pop-up window, find the field “Scarp the ink stack height”. Change this value to adjust the wiper height.

Record the original value before any modification.

Adjustment Rule:
➡ A larger valuehigher wiper ➡ A smaller valuelower wiper
(You can remember it as “increase = higher, decrease = lower.”)

Important Rule:
No matter how many digits the value has, only adjust the second digit from the left.

2.2.1 Wiper Too Low → Increase Value

If the wiper cannot touch the printhead bottom, it is too low.

Increase the value by +1 on the second digit.

Example 1: Original = 18000 → After = 19000

Example 2: Original = 6700 → After = 6800

2.2.2 Wiper Too High → Decrease Value

If the wiper bends, curls, or makes a scraping noise when wiping, it is too high.

Decrease the value by –1 on the second digit.

Example 1: Original = 18000 → After = 17000

Example 2: Original = 6700 → After = 6600

❗Note:

Adjust the wiper height patiently.

You may need several small adjustments and cleaning tests before reaching the correct height.

2.3 Save Parameters

Refer to the attached video.

Click the corresponding button to save the new parameter value.

3. Verify the Adjustment (Head Cleaning)

Run the Head Cleaning function again (see Step 1.1).

Observe the wiper and printhead contact (see Step 1.2).

If the result matches the Normal Condition, the wiper height adjustment is complete.
