Storage Environment And Shelf Life Requirements For Printing Consumables
DTF Ink Storage Requirements
1. Unopened Ink
- Temperature range: 5°C to 30°C
- Humidity range: 40% to 80% RH (non-condensing)
- Storage environment: Cool, dry, well-ventilated; avoid direct sunlight and high heat.
- Shelf life: 12 months (based on the date on the packaging label)
- Precautions:
- Avoid tilting storage, keep away from heat and fire sources.
- Store the entire box of ink upside down every half a month to prevent ink settling (see picture).
- Before use, white ink needs to be placed on a shaker 2-3 days in advance and shaken thoroughly (see picture).
2. Opened Ink (Installed in Printer)
- Temperature: 15°C to 30°C (recommended).
- Humidity: 50% to 70% RH (no condensation).
- Shelf Life: 2 months (from first opening).
- Precautions:
- For areas without heating, it is best to return the ink to the recommended printing temperature and maintain appropriate humidity according to the environment
- Clean printheads and tubes regularly according to maintenance recommendations to prevent clogging
- Keep the white ink circulation system running normally when the printer is turned off.
- The printer should be placed in a dust-free, well-ventilated environment and avoid direct sunlight.
Storage Requirements of DTF Film
1. Unopened DTF film
- Temperature range: 10°C to 30°C
- Humidity range: 45% to 60% RH (non-condensing)
- Storage environment: dry, ventilated, avoid direct sunlight, best stored in an air-conditioned room.
- Shelf life: 12 months (based on the date on the packaging label)
- Stacking requirements: Lay flat; avoid heavy pressure to prevent curling or warping.
2. Opened DTF Film
- Temperature: 20°C to 28°C.
- Humidity: 45% to 60% RH (no condensation).
- Shelf Life: 1 month (from first opening).
- Precautions:
- For unprinted films, put them back into the original packaging bag and seal them for storage.
- Ensure that the film surface is flat during printing to avoid moisture and warping, which will affect the printing effect.
Hot Melt Powder Storage Requirements
- Temperature range: 10°C to 30°C
- Humidity range: 35% to 60% RH (non-condensing)
- Storage environment: dry, cool, sealed, avoid direct sunlight and humid environment.
1. Unopened Hot Melt Powder
Shelf life: 18 months (based on the date on the packaging label), the shelf life of hot melt powder with anti-sublimation effect such as MX105 is 12 months.
2. Opened Hot Melt Powder
- Shelf life: 3 months (starting from the first opening date, must be strictly sealed)
- Precautions:
- After use, seal the bag immediately to prevent moisture and agglomeration.
- Avoid heavy objects from squeezing the bag and prevent the bag from being damaged.
Special Attention:
- Shelf life reminder: Please mark the first opening date on the consumables packaging and check the status of consumables regularly. If the shelf life is exceeded or there are abnormal conditions such as moisture, deterioration, blockage, etc., they should be replaced immediately to avoid affecting production and printing quality.
- Environment adjustment: Adjust the storage environment in time according to local climatic conditions to ensure product performance and printing effect.
