LINKO Printhead and Ink Station Sealing Check & Adjustment Guide

Applicable Model: LINKO UV DTF Printer

Overview
This guide explains how to inspect and adjust the sealing distance between the printhead and the capping station.
Proper alignment ensures tight sealing and smooth ink flow.

Chapter 1. Adjusting the Carriage Position (Left–Right) via Software

The printhead’s left–right position is adjusted by changing the carriage position through software to ensure proper alignment with the capping station.

Step 1. Take Photos for Reference

1.1 Take a front photo of the printhead and cap pad to check the left-right alignment.

1.2 Determine whether the printhead is shifted too far left or right.

Step 2. Adjust Printhead Position in Software

2.1 Open the printer control software.

2.2 After loading, click “Advance” to open the input panel (See Figure 2.2).

2.3 Press Ctrl + F12 to enter Factory Mode.

When “Confirm” changes to “Factory mode,” enter password 222222 and press Enter.

2.4 In the adjustment window, locate “Hit limit back to zero distance.”

Important: Record the original value before making changes.
Adjust only the second digit from the left.

2.4.1 To move the printhead left (increase value): Add +5 to the second digit.

  • Example 1: 352 → 402
  • Example 2: 2500 → 3000

2.4.2 To move the printhead right (decrease value): Subtract -5 from the second digit.

  • Example 1: 352 → 302
  • Example 2: 2500 → 2000

2.5 After adjustment, click “Film” → “Save.” Wait until data saving is complete(See Figure 2.5).

2.6 Click “Operation” → “Initialize.” The printer will reinitialize automatically.

Step 3. Take Photos to Confirm the Alignment

3.1 After ”initialization“, take another front photo (same angle as Step 1, see Figure 1.1-1).

If both sides are evenly spaced, the adjustment is complete.
If not, repeat Step 2 until balanced.

Tip:
If unsure, send your photo to the LINKO Technical Support Team for confirmation.

Chapter 2. Adjusting the Capping Mount to Correct the Cap Pad Position (Front–Back)

Step 4. Take Side Photos for Reference

4.1 Take a side photo showing the front-back distance between the printhead and cap pad.

4.2 Identify whether the cap pad is too far forward or backward.

Step 5. Adjust the Capping Mount Position (Front–Back)

5.1 Move the carriage aside and loosen the four screws at the Capping Mount corners.

5.2 Based on your photo reference, slightly adjust the Capping Mount forward or backward until the cap pad aligns properly with the printhead.

5.3 (Optional) Remove one printhead and move the carriage away from the capping mount to observe the alignment more clearly.

The adjustment is correct when the cap pad sits evenly within the capping mount, with equal gaps on all four sides.

5.4 Once alignment is correct, tighten all four screws and reinstall the printhead.

Step 6. Final Confirmation

6.1 After adjustment, take another side photo (same as Step 4).

If the distance is even front to back, the adjustment is complete.
If not, repeat Step 5 until aligned.
