Printhead: The printhead is a precision consumable from Epson and does not carry a warranty. To protect it from transport vibration damage, we ship it uninstalled in its original box, securely fixed inside the machine. Based on our long-term customer tracking, the Epson i1600-A1 printhead typically achieves a lifespan of 12–15 months under standard maintenance. This transparency helps you plan your consumable budget realistically, rather than relying on vague guarantees.

The machine can physically use third-party inks, powder, film, and cleaning solutions, and we do not strictly force you to use only our consumables.

However, we want to be fully transparent: if a problem is caused by a third-party consumable, it would not be reasonable to ask us to provide free technical support or cover it under warranty.

Colour performance also relies heavily on ICC profiles, and our profiles are custom-built around our complete system – printer, printhead, ink, powder, and film together. Using a different brand of ink means we cannot verify its chemical stability, colour accuracy, or compatibility with our system.

To put it in perspective: one Epson i1600-A1 printhead costs around USD 450–480, while the ink cost per T-shirt is extremely small. Saving a little on ink is rarely worth the risk of nozzle clogging, colour deviation, printhead damage, or production downtime.
