Small batches.
Many possibilities.
Print artwork onto DTF film, then powder, cure and heat-press it onto suitable textiles. Build a workflow around the products you sell.
Start with the fabric.
Recommended materials include cotton, cotton-rich fabrics, cotton knits, cotton canvas and cotton denim. Polyester, blends, nylon, high-stretch, coated or waterproof fabrics, PU leather and heat-sensitive materials require sample testing. Application images show uses, not a quantified L402 performance test.

How to use these figures: These are listed printing speeds, not finished garments per hour. Actual output depends on artwork, nesting, coverage, RIP settings and the full workflow. Powdering, curing, pressing, handling and maintenance also affect daily production.
For custom apparel studios
Assess your design sizes and order mix against the 35.4 cm maximum image width.
For first-time DTF users
Plan the complete setup, operator training and routine care before bringing production in-house.
For growing print shops
Compare the required transfer area per day with printing and finishing capacity before choosing equipment.
Inside the L402
The details behind the workflow.
Film handling, motion control and ink care matter as much as the headline speed. Explore the L402’s production features.
Modular maintenance. Major components are designed to be accessible for removal and replacement, supporting cleaning and servicing.
Controlled operating conditions. Keep the print room at 22–28°C and 45–60% RH. Automatic ink care supports, but does not replace, routine maintenance.

Frequently asked questions
Practical answers
for your first decision.
Price, production, compatibility and the steps to get started with an L402.
Talk through your projectYes. For production planning, the L402 can produce transfers for approximately 150–200 T-shirts per day, based on one A4-sized design per garment and a 6–8-hour working day. Actual output varies with print mode, artwork size, layout, and maintenance time; finished-garment output also depends on curing and heat-press capacity. This A3/12-inch-class DTF printer supports a maximum image width of 35.4 cm (13.94 inches) and is suitable for small-batch customization and bringing transfer production in-house.
The price depends on whether you need the printer only or a complete production package. An L402 package can include a powder shaker and curing unit, fume filtration, DTF ink, film, powder, and RIP software. A compatible computer and heat press are also needed. Send us your delivery country, postal code, and existing equipment details for an itemized quotation showing the selected configuration, consumable quantities, shipping costs, and whether import duties and taxes are included.
The L402 produces DTF transfers for cotton T-shirts, hoodies, canvas bags, and other suitable textiles. Polyester, blends, nylon, stretch fabrics, and coated or heat-sensitive materials should be sample-tested before production. You can request a test with your own artwork by sending a high-resolution PNG, PDF, or AI file, the required print size, and your fabric details. We review the artwork and arrange sample printing so you can evaluate the result on your garments. Sample and delivery charges are confirmed before shipment.
Run a nozzle check before printing and clean the printheads as needed. Automatic white-ink circulation and stirring help reduce settling, but regular checks and maintenance are still required. Our L402 Technical Support Center provides installation resources and links to printhead cleaning and troubleshooting instructions. If you plan to stop printing for two to three weeks, contact our technical team beforehand to arrange the appropriate maintenance or storage procedure, especially if nobody will be available to check the printer.
The L402 printer with its stand measures approximately 82 × 63.7 × 85 cm. Allow additional space for the shaker and curing unit, fume filtration, heat press, and operation and maintenance access. The printer is available in separate 110 V and 220 V single-phase versions. Confirm the voltage, plug, and power requirements of every device before ordering. Ventilation and fume extraction should be planned for the selected curing equipment and workspace; the printer dimensions alone do not represent the space needed for the complete setup.
LINKO offers PrintFactory RIP with a permanent license for the L402, with no recurring subscription required for the licensed version. The printing workflow requires a compatible Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit computer. We provide remote assistance with software installation and setup. Your quotation specifies the software edition and package details; any future version upgrades are separate from the permanent-use license.
The L402 has a 12-month limited warranty on specified core components, including the mainboard, head board, and key motors. Printheads and consumables are excluded. LINKO provides installation videos, remote setup guidance, and a dedicated technical support group. Remote assistance remains available after the warranty period, while replacement parts outside warranty are charged separately. Original spare parts are available to order, with pricing, availability, shipping costs, and delivery estimates confirmed when requested. See our Warranty Policy for coverage details.
